Overview

A key component to workplace safety is knowing the tasks and the potential risks an employee may face in the day to day environment. The AIC JSA/JHA (Job Hazard Analysis) Module is an invaluable tool for breaking down a Job Task into the individual steps needed to perform the task, and the potential hazards an employee may encounter per step. Track any equipment or tools to be used during the completion of the task and any chemicals the employee may encounter.

PPE –Identify all PPE to be worn while performing the various steps of the task using an easy to search list where PPE is classified by type of protection: Hand, Foot, Body, Face, Hearing, even add your own classification.

Critical to Safety – Flag items that are critical to overall employee safety.

Training – Designate any workplace training, instructor led or online, that should be taken prior to performing the task.

Clear/Concise Final Report - Print a complete JSA including steps, PPE to be worn and all hazards to be aware of.

Incident Integration – Identify any JSAs covering the task being performed at the time of a workplace accident. Flag whether or not the JSA needs to be modified as a result.
